Aramis Luis Perez - Editor - Concord Live - concordlive.wordpress.com
My name is Aramis L. Perez. By birth I am an American; by language and custom a denizen of the English-speaking world; by blood a Cuban and earlier a Spaniard, at ease throughout the New World; by history and education a Westerner at home wherever the heritage of Jerusalem, Athens, and Rome has taken root; by inclination and conviction a conservative; and by the grace of God, a Catholic.
In order of profiency, my languages are English, Spanish, and French. Each allows me to study a slice of the world, looking for good news to share with you here. I study politics with my chief interest being political philosophy, but also read in history, literature, philosophy and religion. I try to support decent people and good conservative causes wherever I find them, and hold several of these last close to my heart such as the deliverance of Cuba from the Communist abyss, the appreciation and diffusion of the great works of conservative thought, and on an everyday basis, reminding people that history did not begin the day they were born. Some of my personal heroes, the original inspirations for the Champions of Concord page, are St. Augustine, St. Sir Thomas More, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
What is Concord?
“Concord” is a word that can be used to denote a harmonious arrangement of things, and describes well that which conservatives throughout history have sought to defend, restore, or foster: Human flourishing in accord with the enduring moral order and authoritative social orders. I’ve used this as a title for my attempts to showcase the myriad ways in which decent people around the world live upright lives, exalt traditional values, and contribute to the flourishing of their societies.
After reading too many conservative laments I became convinced that we on the Right need to recommit ourselves to spreading the Gospel, nurturing the humane values we uphold for society, and building a future we would be proud to bequeath to our children. We who share Christian belief, who hold dear the best values of the West, and who side with civilization against barbarism should exercise the virtue of Hope now, at the dawn of the 21st Century. Like many other conservatives, I believe that we are moving away from the Modern Age toward something else. Just what this current Age may be like still depends on the actions and beliefs of the men who live in it: you, the people we see around us every day, and me.
Concord Live and ConcordTV are attempts to survey the world around me with hopeful eyes and a heart eager to serve the Good. ConcordLive is a weblog updated with news of conservative advances across the continents as they happen. We also feature coverage of religious, philosophical, historical, cultural, and political issues as they relate to articulating and sustaining conservative ideas. ConcordTV is a VodPod channel featuring our favorite videos. Ranging from cinematic moments, to documentary films, to news coverage past and present, ConcordTV represents a variety of traditions joined in common cause.
I welcome your questions, comments, and correspondence.

Hello,
My name is Leonard O Goenaga. I have been an avid student of Professor Boronat, and had the pleasure of sitting in during your lecture (Political Ideologies: Topic, Conservatism). It was simply a pleasure, specifically for motivating my mind to analyze my own conservative convictions, and how they relate to American Government.
I wished to offer my salutations, and commend you on both your lecture and your blog. When I get time, I will add you to my blog’s link-listing.
Although far from your blogs excellence, you may find it at LeonardOoh.com.
May we find fellowship in our lord, and the beautiful and harmonious tradition that is conservatism.
