Concord: The Conservative Ideal
“Concord” is a word that can be used to denote a harmonious arrangement of things, and describes well that which conservatives throughout history have sought to defend, restore, or foster: human flourishing in accord with the enduring moral order and authoritative social orders.
Champions of Concord: Conservative Heroes
Here is a partial list of those who have championed the ideal of Concord in diverse times and circumstances. They could be called conservative heroes. Some built for the Ages, others staved off hungry Chaos, and yet others were swept away by Revolution.
Only the saints on this list should be considered holy: heroes are all too frequently sinners as well, and even failures may be thought magnificent.

Why is the fine Lady Mrs. Thatcher not on the list?

Let me say I certainly respect Baroness Thatcher a great deal. However, I thought her to be more of a classical liberal than a conservative. Perhaps I’m mistaken? I’d love to know your opinion on the subject.
